Hey guys I'm pretty far behind everyone else as you can see and I could use a lot of feed back. These are idea I've come up with for two names I'm thiking of using and has circled the ones I like, but I would like to see what you guys think and which of the two names you like better.
Donovan - I'm going to jump in here so you don't have to wait long to get some feedback. As I look through the thumbs, I think I see a sketch that could give you a good beginning. Page 2, near bottom right - the words Litho Art are sitting on a curved baseline and appear to be printed from a roll of paper. You have the ideas there that support your process (paper on roll, printed type). The next step is to simplify this - go ahead and take this to more of an abstract, shape-driven design. We don't need to see a realistic 3/d drawing of this... instead consider what lines you can leave out... and yet retain the suggestion of type printed on a roll? Sketch it larger and do 10-15 variations. Choose a few of the most promising, and build them digitally - then ask for feedback once again in this blog. Remember - the fewer lines, the more abstract and more logo-like this will appear. Add color only after you have reached the final stages (this will allow you to move more quickly towards refining and finishing the logo - use only blacks and grays.)
