Screen Printing-Logo Continued

Hola!

Continued to play around with my logo some more. 'Flo Screen Printing' was my favorite name and the feed back helped push my decision to go with it. It stays true to my inspiration and to the art of screen printing.

I wanted to create the illusion of a stencil or print with my logo. I also wanted to stay close to the 'screen' shape.  Including the black square with white type I felt created the illusion of a stencil or screen. Also, I was thinking that the black box with the type would eventually be able to sit alone without the 'screen printing' for other uses of the logo (such as on t-shirts, ads, images etc.).

As a personal design style I usually lean towards black and white logo use only. I tried to push my boundaries a little, as print usually works with many color choices. Out of the 5 logos I picked my two favorites and applied color from the 'Pop Art' color swatches that implied warm/expressive/fun. They are also colors that I felt reflected some of Hokusai's colors.

Was hoping to get some feed back on the overall black square vs. no black square.
Also I am always a fan of black&white logos so I was wondering what people thought about color or if they feel it's strong enough to do without (or both). Excited to receive feed back to further my design brief.

Thank you friends!- Lauren :P

Dianna|Digital (On Demand) Print

  • Names

    • DigiPod
    • DigiDemand
    • DigiPrint
    • Exaction Print
    • Digital Print @ Demand
    • RapidPOD
    • Rapid Prints
    • Lightning Prints
    • DigiPOD Solutions
    • DigiColor
For the name I wanted something that explained the the digital print shop, since being an on demand shop, would be a quick process. I tried applying "Print on Demand" to the title but came to the conclusion that people would be confused by the use of the word pod for a print shop. I finally decided that lightning prints would make sense to any type of customer whether it be a designer or someone off the street looking to get something printed.
  • Font Choices

I'm still unsure of what font I want to use but for my logo samples I've used the top one but am leaning a little more towards the 3rd one. Any input?

    Logo Choices

I chose a lightning bolt as the main item in the logo, obviously.
The top 2 logos are the ones I'm leaning towards the most.
I knew that the CMYK colors should be applied to the logo somehow to really bring the digital aspect to it.
