Lettepress Statioenry and Brochure

I'm still struggling with the brochure layout…The best way to showcase letterpress is to have my brochure letterpresses! Since it would be printed by letterpress, it would leave indentations in the back therefore it would be difficult to create a double–sided booklet, unless two pages are glued together. I'm worried that would leave the brochure very thick or chunky as well as expensive to print largerish amounts. I was thinking maybe I could make a large poster that folds out and the folds create multiple sections for me to design different content into? Perhaps using a sort of inforgraphic to display my information?

Another con of printing on letterpress is that my colours are very limited—probably 2 tops. So I decided that perhaps an idea to get away with an extra colour is to introduce coloured paper! If not for the whole brochure (it might get overwhelming) I could add an attached page near the centre spread as an accent.

What do you guys think? Are coloured pages for the brochure a bit tacky, or a successful way to introduce more colours? Or is a large poster foldout a better direction?

Off Press Branded Collateral | Nazar

OFF PRESS || IDENTITY PACK

Sorry this is post is later than I wanted to get it up here.

Above are the Off Press branded identity materials. As I mentioned during the design brief presentations, I want to stay with a clean and flat design that will speak to designers, and marketing execs. The primary demographic for this service bureau. The colored bars that line the bottom borders on most materials were a consistent element I used throughout, it added color without taking over the material. I also updated the Off Press logo based on the feedback in class. At the bottom of the images, the brochure composite front image. I will use a perfect 1:1 square for my brochure's folded size. The perfect square reinforces the brand's clean feel and will be enjoyed by the OCD of designers' eyes.

Feedback is always welcome.

Above is the design I plan on using for the brochure, I want to keep the shape of the fist as the pages. I also adjusted the spacing of the logo with the type to allow proper spacing.

Flexography Brochure Cover Composite

For my cover brochure, I combined multiple photos by either blending them or arranging them into an organized grid. The images I used are basic flexographic printers, rolls, and pantone inks. I kept the design of my brochure as a square to help represent the pantone swatches and colors used in flexographic printing.

Flexography Identity Package

Here are different variations of my identity package of letterheads, envelopes, and business cards. As you can tell I changed the colors of my logo to steer away from the CMYK concept and make my logo more of an original. Since flexography is done through spot colors and premixed inks, I thought using the three primary colors; red, yellow, and blue would work well in representing spot color since the primary colors all mix together to make secondary colors. I settled on two main designs and used them both within a temple for a more realistic and final result preview.

Raincity Letterpress Logo Update

Hello! I've updated my logo thanks to everyone's feedback last week and wanted to run it by again to see how it is received.

The main changes were:
• Slight colour change; removed some red (it looked a bit purple-ey)
• Shortened the umbrella holder since it looked a bit like a J
• Removed and repositioned some raindrops inside the umbrella
• Added an alternative logo (1st photo) that would work as a scaleable logo/iconic stamp (the 2nd logo would work as signage (storefront awning, A-frame, billboard)

I'll upload some brand identity mockups (business cards, etc.) once I get more feedback.
Thanks! :)
