I'm still unsure of what font I want to use but for my logo samples I've used the top one but am leaning a little more towards the 3rd one. Any input?
Font Choices
I chose a lightning bolt as the main item in the logo, obviously.
Logo Choices
The top 2 logos are the ones I'm leaning towards the most.I knew that the CMYK colors should be applied to the logo somehow to really bring the digital aspect to it.

Dianna – I see one idea, and multiple iterations based on that one idea. Since you’ve chosen the name, it does make sense to use an icon of a bolt of lightning as long as we get the feeling of “action”, “fast”, and “quick.” I’m going to encourage you to keep looking for the right font. Have you considered an italic font? One that leans forward and seems to move forward? The bolt of lightning doesn’t seem quite right for use in letter replacement – but when it’s positioned between the words, or even maybe to the right of the words it seems to take on an action. Consider its size (is it too small?) and placement. Is there a way to “fit” the words into the angles of this bolt? Should the bolt be more slanted then I see here? Think of these 3 elements (the 2 words and the bolt make 3 separate elements) as if they are pieces of a jigsaw puzzle. How could they “fit” together in a clever way? Keep thinking… this is a good beginning. Once you start to consider fonts that have more personality and/or character I think you’ll find this becomes more successful. Also – if you fill the bolt with color does it need a black stroke? I don’t think it will. Looking forward to seeing where this goes.
ReplyDeleteConi,
Deletethank you for actually giving me feedback.
Hey Dianna,
ReplyDeleteI like the direction you are going in and my favorite iteration is the last one on the right. I think you might benefit from varying the typeface or choosing a different one. I think the bolt with the circles can stand on its own; but the type treatment detracts from the logo at the moment. I can't wait to see how this goes!
Best,
