Off Press Branded Collateral | Nazar

OFF PRESS || IDENTITY PACK

Sorry this is post is later than I wanted to get it up here.

Above are the Off Press branded identity materials. As I mentioned during the design brief presentations, I want to stay with a clean and flat design that will speak to designers, and marketing execs. The primary demographic for this service bureau. The colored bars that line the bottom borders on most materials were a consistent element I used throughout, it added color without taking over the material. I also updated the Off Press logo based on the feedback in class. At the bottom of the images, the brochure composite front image. I will use a perfect 1:1 square for my brochure's folded size. The perfect square reinforces the brand's clean feel and will be enjoyed by the OCD of designers' eyes.

Feedback is always welcome.

  1. Dan – I’m going to relegate my comments to the identity design because I’m not sure what you intend for the brochure quite yet… although I am really enjoying the bright magenta image that I see. And, in context with that and the colors of your design brief… I have to seriously question the mid gray I see in the background of the identity projects. You have a deep magenta and deep cyan/teal that could be used… and I’m going to encourage you to work out of your comfort zone, and be bold, bright, and highly saturated… because it makes sense for this company. You are competing against in-house pre-press departments that may not have the equipment, or the skills, to handle super bright design reproductions. You do! So – go for it… leave that blah dead gray behind, and celebrate color! You know you want to do it… so do it.

  2. I think I'm in the same 'comfort' zone problem as you are with our projects. I was going to say I enjoyed the dark grey color against the magenta but I think it's how much it's enhancing the pop of the magenta that I like. You have such a clean design that I think you really could make a huge impact by just switching the color to something not as 'safe' or maybe even since you said you will be doing a square design for the brochure making the cover color vibrant then pull the grey back in for other pages? I'm excited to see your 'OCD' for the designers eye come to life & already like the organization of your spread already!

  3. I love your whole identity package, it's clean and looks really professional. I also really like your choice in color value of CMYK. The colors are unique and iconic for your company. Im wondering how your darker CMYK colors will look on the back of your letterhead instead of the CMYK you have now. Also, for your business card, I feel that the bullet points of your information need to be together, they feel too separated or as if the leading is off.

  4. Hey Dan,

    I love the logo and the identity of this company. I think the colors work very well together and make sense. The only question I have is about the brochure. What were you thinking?

    I think that this kind of layout would be great for your style. It would work really well with the color overlay on your images. Can't wait to see how this progresses!

    Best,
