Hello, this is my final edits on my brochure, if anything else you guys see or want me to change let me know so I can modify by Thursday, thanks!
Also, the green/yellow lines are just to indicate the folds not part of the design!
Basic tri fold brochure

Hey Izzy!
ReplyDeleteI really think your brochure represents your company in a strong corporate perspective. The gray and blue mean business and the type choices show accuracy and organization step by step. The thing I would look out before you send it in to the printers would be how close some of the type is to your fold line! The body of text in the top picture on the left hand side looks like it will get dragged right into the fold. That looks like it may be the case for the bottom picture to..if you give it a little bit more space I think you will be golden!
Also, I think the pull quote on the first page ends the body tex nice but is there any way you might be able to fix the quote so maybe the fold will be in between the words some how so it won't completely break the quote?
I like the variation of choices for examples of the company results.
Look forward to seeing the final results!
Izzy – yes, Lauren has found the production problem you will have as your elements (photos, body text, headline text) slips into a fold. No can do. You must establish your inner margins, which follow the folds on both sides, and stay out of them. The one exception to that would be the left hand side of the photos… they could actually move across the panel, bleeding off the right side and bleeding into the fold on the left.
ReplyDeleteThe headline “The Best Printing Experience for Each Client, Always” also seems to ignore the fold. How can you position this (and it wouldn’t be in a centered alignment) so that the fold does not bisect it randomly – what ever happens down there has to be very intentional and well thought out.
I enjoy the parallel lines at the top of the cover and wonder why they don’t continue on the inside panel? Instead they seem to hop to the bottom… are you missing an opportunity here, to help guide us into and through the brochure? Maybe they could move across a few panels on the inside? The heading “Who We Are” might also travel across 2 panels – since it seems to serve as a heading for the content on both. A bit more time on this, and it will be done.
