BROCHURE

  1. Colleen – too many white boxes with crowded text. Relax the layout by using white type (sans serif might make more sense) and significantly more leading between lines. No boxes at all, anywhere! Also – increase margins away from the fold.

It might be interesting to allow some of the headings to sit much higher on the panels, and follow the angled edge. This looks great folded down, and of course you need to keep type away from the top of those panels… but the panels inside don’t have that restriction. Enjoy that angle, and play with in your composition. Follow that edge with… type? Illustrations? Other elements? (Maybe the tints that we see in the Identity packet).

Would it make more sense to use your infographics at the top of some of the columns of type? Lining them up across the bottom is less interesting than placing, at least a few of them, in different places and allowing the text to wrap around them. One of the panels looks too full of these iconic illustrations, and other panels look too empty. I encourage you to use these items at different sizes – some quite large even – so that the design takes on some excitement.
